London 2012 Home Head Journey

Why we're getting behind Olivia and Jenna and London 2012.

We are delighted to announce that we are now supporting local synchronised swimmers, Jenna Randall and Olivia Allison as they attempt to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Following the appointment of BMW Group as the Official Automotive Partner of the 2012 Games, BMW is now actively supporting British athletes, such as Ellie Simmonds and Louis Smith, via the BMW London 2012 Performance Team. Meanwhile, in line with the Performance Team initiative, BMW dealers like us will be working with local athletes, supporting their endeavours to qualify for Team GB or ParalympicsGB.

Jenna and Olivia train locally, at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre and the Rushmoor Club in Fanborough. Olivia and Jenna have been synchronised swimming together since 2006 have already won two silver Commonwealth Games medals (Delhi 2010).

‘We're really grateful to Barons Hindhead and BMW for their support,’ said Jenna and Olivia ‘It's tough trying to qualify for an Olympic place and it's a big help knowing that they are behind us, helping to raise funds and awareness. It's also fantastic having a brand new BMW 1 Series Convertible and MINI Cooper D from now until the end of the 2012 Games. There's a lot of travelling to heats, competitions and promotional events so it's great being able to arrive there in style.’

Peter Wakefield, Dealer Principal at Barons Hindhead, said: ‘This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get really involved with the 2012 Games. Our staff and customers are keen to support London 2012 so we're really happy to be backing Jenna and Olivia.’
