GETTING BEHIND OLIVIA AND JENNA.
Following the appointment of BMW Group as the Official Automotive Partner of the 2012 Games, BMW began actively supporting British athletes, such as Ellie Simmonds and Louis Smith, via the BMW London 2012 Performance Team. In line with this initiative, BMW dealers like us made the decision to get behind local athletes of our own.
We chose local synchronised swimmers, Jenna Randall and Olivia Federici, who finished a hugely impressive 6th in the Women’s teams final and 9th in the Women’s duets at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Jenna and Olivia’s story
Jenna and Olivia train locally, at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre and the Rushmoor Club in Farnborough. Olivia and Jenna have been synchronised swimming together since 2006 and have already won two Silver Commonwealth Games medals at Delhi in 2010
“We’re absolutely delighted to have competed for Team GB”, said Jenna. “We’re really grateful to Barons Hindhead and BMW for their ongoing support. It’s great being able to arrive at training and events in comfort and style.”
Peter Wakefield, Dealer Principal at Barons Hindhead, said: “This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get involved with the London 2012 Games. Our staff and customers were really proud to be cheering Jenna and Olivia on and we look forward to doing so again in the future.”
